The Suisse Normande is close, with the particularly interesting village of Clecy, with boating on its winding river(Orne), great restaurants, hang gliding and other attractions.

A wide variety of restaurants abound in the area, at prices to suit all pockets and tastes. In Sees 'Au Normandy' on the main square provides a wide range of robust Normandy food and sits in the shadow of the massive 12th century cathedral. Sees was the setting for the most recent film of Jeanne d'Arc, and pictures taken during filming are displayed in the restaurant. Near to the cottage there is a fun creperie run by an ex-reporter/photographer with good food and fabulous photos, and again nearby at Fleure an excellent restaurant providing a fine choice of menus.
